The guys from Hot Rod Hoarders tried to DIG UP a 1955 Chevy gasser that had been lying UNDERGROUND for 50 years! And they save the barn fresh 409 Chevy engine that powered it in the 1960’s.
We have written many times that every vehicle is better when there’s a story behind it and this time it’s a father and son type of family affair that brings back memories for the son, back when he was a kid and they kept walking by a particular house with his dad, who kept telling him that there’s a 409 engine inside the barn.
And for years the kid kept hearing about this motor so he and his dad were understandably hoping that maybe one of these days they’ll get their hands on this engine.
As faith would have it somebody else purchased the motor before they ever got around to it, but his dad being the car enthusiast that he is, immediately found out who got it and put in the word that if he ever decided to sell it, he should call them first, and you are probably guessing that this is just what had happened.
Eventually the engine ended up in their garage and this father and son duo had their fun working on it and getting it back in shape, check it out.
