FORGOTTEN 1971 BUILT Big Block Monte Carlo – Will it Run Again!?

This is FORGOTTEN 1971 BUILT Big Block Monte Carlo – Will it Run Again!?

In a recent video by Kevin “Junkyard” Diggs and JD, they uncovered a forgotten 1971 built Big Block Monte Carlo. The car has been sitting for quite some time, and they were eager to revive it and see if it still runs.

The video shows the process of excavating the car from its resting place and examining its parts. The Monte Carlo has a big block under the hood, and while it has a 600 Edelbrock carburetor, it also has some performance parts such as long tube headers and chrome valve covers.

The car is a 90s machine with stock Rally wheels, but it still looks impressive. The excavators find a pressure regulator on the carburetor and speculate if it will add some spiciness to the car’s performance.

The owner of the Monte Carlo, Tim, had previously revived a tractor and started the abandoned equipment farming series on his channel. He had been wanting to come back and get the Monte Carlo running, and now he finally had the opportunity.

As they move the car out of its resting place, they realize it has scavenger pipes, and the header has a long collector. Upon examination, they find out that the car is a 1970 model with a 396 engine.

The owner, Tim, has had the car since he was 17 years old, and it was his first car. It is evident that the car means a lot to him. He has rebuilt the engine, and there are no oil puddles underneath. However, the starter has a loose connection and gets hot immediately, so they need to clean the contacts and make sure all the grounds are clean.

In the end, they were successful in getting the Monte Carlo to start, and the video ends with them taking the car for a spin. The car still looks great and sounds amazing. It’s clear that Tim and the excavators have a deep appreciation for this forgotten classic car, and they were happy to see it running again.

Overall, the video is a testament to the enduring love for classic cars and the joy of seeing them run again after being forgotten for so long. It’s a reminder of the importance of preserving our automotive history and the stories behind these vehicles.
