Monza Split Bumper Camaro Returns from Dominator’s Shop – Full Carbon, Fully Transformed!

Take a look at this, Monza Split Bumper Camaro Returns from Dominator’s Shop – Full Carbon, Fully Transformed!

After months of anticipation, the fan-favorite Split Bumper Camaro from Street Outlaws has finally returned home from Dominator’s shop — and it’s undergone one of the most radical transformations we’ve seen. This isn’t just a facelift. It’s a near-complete rebuild focused on lightweight performance, aerodynamic efficiency, and street-level aggression.

Carbon Fiber Overhaul for Maximum Weight Reduction

One of the most significant updates to the Camaro is its new carbon fiber front clip, built by Synergy Composits. The hood remains fiberglass to save on cost, but everything else is pure carbon, shedding major pounds. The previously patched-up front clip, which weighed around 80 lbs, has now been replaced by a sleek, lightweight 30 lb unit.

Additional carbon upgrades include:

  • Custom carbon fiber wheelie bars (cutting weight from 50 lbs to ~6 lbs)

  • New carbon fiber rear wing by Andrew Richards Performance

  • Carbon fiber dashboard

  • Carbon fiber strut tubes added for visual and functional appeal

Titanium Everywhere: Function Meets Form

To further push the car into elite status, the build features extensive use of titanium components, including:

  • Driveshaft tunnel enclosure

  • Firewall panels

  • Control arms

  • Fuel cell supports

  • Pedals and steering wheel extension

These upgrades not only cut weight but improve rigidity and performance, setting the Camaro up to run with the best of them.

Serious Performance Upgrades

The beast under the hood is now a massive Hemi, relocated 7 inches back for better weight distribution. Supporting that powerplant are titanium oil lines, new fuel lines, and a full M&M shifter setup. The car also boasts:

  • Lightweight Strange brakes

  • New air control systems for chute deployment

  • SFI-rated headrests

  • Reworked suspension with Ron G Penske rear shocks (installed post-paint)

Ready for Paint, Then Ready for Battle

With over 100+ hours of overnight labor already invested, the Camaro is nearly prepped for paint. Once it returns, final assembly will begin, followed by electrical work and race-ready tuning.

The goal? Drop the total race weight to 2,700–2,750 lbs with driver, giving the Camaro a serious advantage over its older, heavier version that ran strong at 2,850 lbs.

Big Return Set for August 2 at Burlington Dragstrip

Fans won’t have to wait long to see the reborn Split Bumper in action. The crew plans to debut the car at Burlington Dragstrip in Alabama on August 2, the same track where it once ran sub-5-second passes.

While it may not crack 4s just yet, expectations are high for this fan-favorite to return to OG Live events, faster and more reliable than ever.

Why This Build Matters

This isn’t just another race car. This is the Split Bumper — a symbol of the gritty, never-give-up attitude of Street Outlaws. It’s the car fans recognize, the car the driver “belongs in,” and the one that’s about to turn heads once more in the no prep world.

Stay tuned for future updates as the final pieces come together and the car roars back to life.
