Aircraft Carrier Drifting and Doing Donuts – USS Abraham Lincoln Extreme High-Speed Turns!
Its name is The USS Abraham Lincoln and by design it’s one of the most sophisticated and deadliest vessels on the planet, and amongst its vast arsenal, the most dangerous ones are probably the squadron of nearly 100 multi-role aircraft parked below deck.
We all know that these nuclear powered floating islands are very dangerous but we never figured them for the maneuverable types, and boy were we wrong.
This incredible video shows this Nimitz-class aircraft carrier testing its drive unit after it was dry-docked for a total overhaul during which besides some repairs it also received brand new electronic gear to keep it one step ahead of the enemy.
Now this 28 year-old battle ship is being driven to its limits as it drifts and pulls amazing donuts at the surface, leaving huge wakes behind it.
