The battle for speed in drag racing is reaching a whole new level, and the Swan Gang crew is determined to prove that ProMod could become the fastest door car class in the world. During an intense multi day testing session at Orlando Speed World, the team pushed both “Survivor” and “Moneybag” to their limits under scorching temperatures, mechanical setbacks, and nonstop tuning changes.

From crushing reaction times to chasing record setting ETs, this test session showed exactly how serious the team is about dominating the ProMod scene ahead of their upcoming IHRA debut.

Florida Heat Turns Testing Into Survival Mode

The testing session quickly became a brutal endurance challenge. Temperatures climbed into the mid 90s while track temperatures reached an unbelievable 140 degrees. Even with the extreme conditions, the crew refused to slow down.

Todd immediately impressed during the opening passes in “Moneybag,” cutting a sharp .031 reaction time and running 9.31 at 254 mph before lifting early due to handling concerns. The car still showed huge potential, especially considering the difficult track conditions.

Meanwhile, “Survivor” continued making progress with consistent passes in the 9.90 and 9.50 range while the team experimented with suspension setups, launch control, and delay box adjustments.

The driver repeatedly focused on “crushing the tree,” dialing in reaction times between .007 and .020, proving the team is not only chasing horsepower but also consistency on race day.

Mechanical Problems Could Not Stop the Momentum

Like every serious ProMod testing session, things did not go perfectly smooth.

After another strong launch, Todd’s car suffered a drivetrain issue that appeared to involve a broken input shaft in the converter area. Instead of packing up, the crew immediately swapped parts, installed a spare converter, and kept the testing program alive.

That determination became the theme of the entire video.

The team constantly worked through transmission changes, rear gear swaps, converter stator modifications, and suspension adjustments in search of every possible advantage. By day two, both cars were undergoing major setup revisions as the crew chased more ET and better overall stability.

Todd continued showing impressive consistency behind the wheel, repeatedly cutting .040 lights while adapting to the aggressive ProMod setup.

Humidity, Fogged Visors, and 260 MPH Passes

One of the wildest moments came when Todd’s visor completely fogged during a promising run. Florida humidity combined with the intense cockpit conditions made visibility nearly impossible, forcing him to lift despite the car making a strong pass.

Even with those issues, both cars continued showing major speed potential. Multiple runs featured blazing 60 foot times in the .924 to .926 range while speeds pushed well over 250 mph.

The team believes the cars still have significantly more performance left in them once the setup is fully sorted out.

Swan Gang Goes All In on ProMod Racing

Perhaps the biggest news from the video was the official shift away from radial racing.

The team announced they are fully committing to ProMod competition moving forward. Both “Survivor” and “Moneybag” will remain in full ProMod trim as the crew focuses on becoming a serious force in the class.

The canceled Pennsylvania event due to bad weather actually became a blessing in disguise, giving the team additional time to prepare for future races and continue testing.

The shop itself is also expanding rapidly. A brand new 30×40 merchandise building is under construction, and a new hub dyno from Dynocom Industries has officially arrived to help improve engine and drivetrain tuning.

On top of that, another car from Wizard Race Cars is expected to arrive soon, signaling even bigger plans for the Swan Gang operation.

Why IHRA ProMod Racing Is Exploding

The narrator also gave massive praise to the IHRA racing environment, calling it one of the best racing series in the country right now.

According to the team, the payouts, racer treatment, pit support, and overall atmosphere have made IHRA events stand out from many other racing organizations. Small details like staff delivering ice directly to racers every morning left a major impression on the crew.

That racer focused environment is one reason why more teams are beginning to shift their attention toward ProMod competition.

Even though the cars are not yet running the numbers the team ultimately wants, the progress being made is undeniable. Multiple 250+ mph passes, improving ETs, and nearly perfect reaction times show that the combination is moving in the right direction.

With additional testing, new shop upgrades, and a full commitment to ProMod racing, the Swan Gang crew appears ready to become one of the most dangerous teams in the class.
