We all know that Shawn and Doc are pretty close friends but when it comes to racing, they put their friendship aside and make sure they both bring it, and make the best pass that they, or their car are able to.
So it is no surprise to see them form up partnerships and attempt to climb the list together, racing their opponents one by one, however, they also agreed in advance that whoever is doing better will never be slowed down if his buddy is further up the list, and they will always race, or move out of the way to make sure the other gets his chance at advancing.
