Drag Week Legend Tom Bailey Blows Motor at Drag Week!
For the few of the readers that have never learned what Drag Week is all about, it is a competition during which the racers not only get to race each other in their street legal vehicles, but in the meantime they end up driving them down the road for about 1000 miles going from one track to another.
It might not seem too much for a regular vehicle, to be able to make a 1000 mile run, but for highly tuned machines, which have been heavily modified like these racing beasts, well let’s just put it this way, eating up miles on the road is not their cup of tea.
While on the road all the problems are mainly smaller in nature, caused by parts that have not been properly designed in order to go long distance, at the track, once at full chant these engines show their stress and sometimes spew out their internals.
Something similar to this happened to the very legend of Drag Week, Tom Bailey when he blew his engine and still managed to pull an amazing 6.3 pass, something worth watching.
