Check this, Hellcat Charger vs Dodge Challenger Scat Pack – muscle cars drag racing!!!

For many this might sound a bit boring because they are already familiar with it, however, we believe that it is our duty to inform, as well as entertain so we think that it would be a good idea to give a little bit of background on these vehicles.

For those of you that haven’t heard, Scat Pack was the original moniker that Dodge used in the years 1968 all the way up to 1971 in order to promote their fastest going cars as a pack of vehicles that are so fast they disappear from view.

You have to understand these were the late sixties and some of the ideas on how to promote their vehicles might seem a bit strange these days.

The Scat Pack included cars like the Dart Swinger 340, Coronet Super Bee, Challenger, and Charger R/T, as well as the popular Charger Daytona.

Near the end of the promotional period which lasted until 1971, the 340 Demon made its way to the group unfortunately being the last one to the party, and after this, Dodge discontinued this way of promoting their Muscle cars.

These days, Dodge has revived the nickname and has now been “sticking” it to fast cars just like back in the day, except these days for a car to be able to adorn this legendary moniker, it has to be able to scat all the way to the finish line on a quarter mile track in less than 14 seconds.

The vehicle in the left hand lane seems to have the right stuff to finish this operation successfully and earn its Scat Pack badge, but will it be able to also pull a win against the Charger in the next lane, who is actually his buddy.

Well check out the video and find out.
