For the first part of the finals this weekend we had the same two racers in the same positions, however, it had seemed that the first round of the two-race duel for the weekend crown was kinda upside down.
The first thing that we noticed at the start of the weekend was the fact that Ryan Martin and his gray Fireball Camaro were in the finals against the same racer that we are seeing him today.
Yes, Lizzy Musi was the biggest competition that the Great 8 could provide and during the race, we saw something incredible.
If you have been following the No Prep Kings series or any other Street Outlaws races, you should know that the Nitrous cars and their lack of power have the advantage of getting out of the hole faster than any other means of power adders.
The lack of initial torque puts the Nitrous cars in a position to get to the sixty-foot mark faster than any other race car out there, however, the race that was held at the beginning of the weekend between Lizzy Musi and Ryan Martin, showed something that we are not used to seeing.
At the finish line, Lizzy and her nitrous car were gaining on Ryan Martin and the famous Gray Fireball Camaro at the big end, something that is not supposed to happen in these races. It is usually the turbo, and the procharger cars, the ones that have the top speed and are able to catch the nitrous cars before the finish line.
Whatever Pat Musi did, was working because over the years we have not seen any other car catch the gray Fireball Camaro the way that Lizzy did on Friday.
Over the weekend, both of these racers managed to beat the best of the best in this Championship so let’s see if Lizzy has what it takes, to dethrone Ryan Martin.
