Tesla Motors announced that the new software update will allow the model S P100D from 0 to 96 kph (0-60 mph) to accelerate just 2.4 seconds.
Since the Model S P85D was launched with the ‘crazy’ work mode that was allowing this car an amazing performances for example from a state of rest to a speed of 96 kilometers per hour it reached in just 3.2 seconds.
The people who tested it first were amazed by it’s ability of speeding fast enough. Half a year later, in 2015 Musk presented us the even more faster model he got for his customers – Model S P90D, which got to the speed of 96 km per hour in just 2.8 seconds.
However only three months later, Musk wanted to surprise the owners of this model with something new.
During this year, in december, Musk announced software update which can change the time that is needed for this elecrtic limo to reach speed of 96 km per hour in only 2.4 seconds!
Also the result of speeding in the direction of 400 m length will be improved and it will be 10.6 seconds.
Musk announced that these improvements are a special gift and bonus that he wants to give to the owners of this special Model S.
Tesla also announced that the software update will aply even on the crossover model – Model X P100D. It’s speed will be reduced to 96km per hour in only 2.8 seconds (previously it was 2.9 seconds).
