Before we tell you all about this next race, we feel that we have to explain why it is called the revenge race.
You see, back in Virginia these two already met at the starting line and some issues got tempers boiling.
As these two were staging and getting to the beam that lights up the first bulb and starts the starting
procedure on the Christmas tree, Robin Roberts was already late pulling into the beams, and it was his wife that acted as his crew who pulls him to the line.
Well, it appears that she is not as experienced as Phantom (Shawn’s crew chief, or Javy, Ryan’s crew chief) so she stepped into the beam, which is a big no go since that lights up the top bulb.
As soon as Shawn “Murder Nova” Ellington saw this, he lit the top bulb and went on “the chip” spooling his car and keeping it at launch RPMs and full boost.
As you know, this puts huge pressure on the converter and raises its heat with every passing second.
So while the Murder Nova is popping and banging at full boost Robin starts staging and waiting for his engine to get to full boost.
By the time they got to release the button, the Murder Nova had cooked the converter and the transmission resulting in poor performance.
As you would expect Bosteg GT took over and asked them to race again to make sure that everything is fair.
After this, it is expected that both of these drivers would like to draw each other’s chips in order to settle their differences and as luck would have it they got what they wanted so they are about to try and prove a point to one another.
