After the incredibly disturbing crash of Jeff Lutz, while racing Damon, there were some very emotional moments where most of the racers were deeply concerned about Jeff and were unable to keep their tears back.
Those guys were honestly worried about their friend and his wellbeing as they watched the popular 1957 Chevy roll end over end and cartwheel next to the road, only to end up on the roof with Jeff stuck in the driver’s seat trying to crawl out of the wreckage.
Hearing Jeff speak about this and telling us how he had to be airlifted out of the area to make sure that he gets checked for any additional injuries only to find Ryan Martin standing next to him waiting for him to wake up, truly brings out the comradery of the whole 405.
The next emotional impact of the video hits us when Jeff walks into the garage accompanied by his wife in order to assess the damage of the ’57 and see what he does not remember about the crash during the race with Damon.
We all know that Jeff is a builder by profession and seeing how the roll-cage that he built helped him walk out of a terrible wreck like that with just bumps and bruises must give him sort of pride since it was he who constructed this piece of machinery with the intent to go fast and keep him safe.
The crash himself appears that have reminded everybody about why they do the things they do and why they decided to choose this profession to make a living trying their best to keep the risk of death and injury away from their head every time they let go of the famous button.
