After any significant change to the setup, rigorous testing is required to make sure everything is running perfectly and the new change is a change for the better and it is doing what it is supposed to do.
The only way to ensure this is off course thru testing, and sometimes the testing needs to be done on the street where the races are to be held since this is the only way to make sure that you get the proper levels of grip that simulate the actual race.
