Over the years, people have learned that with the introduction of Tesla Model S P100D, the time when the electric car was slow and had similar performance to that of a go cart is well gone and these guys are getting some serious times down, when it comes to acceleration.
It all began with the now famous Ludicrous mode, which enabled the huge sedan to take off as fast as any Porsche, Lamborghini or Ferrari, beating all of them in the 0-60 acceleration, documenting the fastest production car time of 2.23 seconds.
So there was no doubt that Elon Musk was going to use this fact to his advantage on the presentation, pitting the brand new Tesla Cybertruck, in a drag race against a Porsche 911 in order to show the superior acceleration that the newest vehicle in the Tesla lineup can achieve.
