The Harley drag racing bikes are extremely well tuned machines that are capable of reaching about 1000 horsepower thanks to Nitro, but as we all know, this kind of power multiplier can at times be very dangerous and cause explosions.
Well this is exactly what happened to the bike of the very popular builder Mike Romine when the team bike which was ridden by his brother went into “fireworks mode” at the starting line on the event called AMRA Nitro Harley Drags which was held at the U.S. 131 Martin Dragway.
Mike is a longtime builder and has worked with nitrous powered bikes for years, and this happening to him warns us once again of how dangerous Nitrous is, because if this can happen to a veteran like him, well then that means that people with less experience should be extra careful.
