For a few years, we have been bringing you the videos of Patrick Nichols, who as you already know is an extremely valued member of the American Classic car community.

His expertise is valued so high, that he is called in, once a certain vehicle needs to be inspected in order to be authenticated and thus raise the value of the vehicle.

Put in simple terms; you call up Patrick, he walks all around the car with a notepad and at the end of the session, your car is valued much more than before you started, right?

Not exactly.

Although this is the usual process that the car goes thru, there are times when a closer inspection of a vehicle brings out something else to the surface, and this time it was not good.

Just like Spiderman, Patrick has great power but with great power, comes great responsibility. Meaning he cannot just scribble a few numbers and letters on the notepad and rise the value of the car, no sir.

He first needs to make sure that all of the parts that are installed on the vehicle are the correct parts for the specific vehicle, and believe us, this guy knows his parts when it comes to these vehicles.

This was the case with the video you are about to see, as the tittle has already explained.

Patrick was called in to authenticate a great car, a 1970 SS454 LS6 Chevelle Convertible which the owner was sure was the real deal.

Apparently he was so convinced in the cars authenticity that he was going to pay Patrick to confirm it, however things did not go as planned for him.

To find out more about how the authentication went and what was really behind this fake 1970 SS454 Chevelle, check out the video, and let Patrick tell you all about it.
